Yes, I want to write such an app, perhaps later this year if my current schedule plays out as expected. Which would be a first, admittedly. :)

Yes, see my reply above. It'll probably be a bit different, e.g. there is currently no way to edit rich text on iPad (other than using Apple's private APIs), so I'll have to come up with a solution for that, but I have some ideas.
